Clarification: Scholastic Book Orders

Hello First Grade Families,

Scholastic book orders went home last Friday and I wanted to clarify the due date. The official due date is Friday, March 17th. All online order will be accepted until Friday at 3:00 p.m. (https://clubs.scholastic.com/home) Our class code is H944H. If you are submitting a paper book order with cash or check, they will be due Thursday.  

Please, remember that with every Scholastic order that is placed, our classrooms get free books! We appreciate all the orders that you have submitted this year.  As a result we have had the opportunity to add over a dozen books and cd's to our listening stations, we have added to our leveled library for guided reading, have purchases seasonal read alouds and rewarded students with books.

Upcoming Field Trip

Hello First Grade Families,

We are taking a trip to the FARMS Community Kitchen in Damariscotta.  We will make some delicious Japanese dishes as a part of our unit on Japan. 

Mrs. Peaslee's Class- March 21st- Departs GSB at 12:15 and returns at 2:15.

Mrs. Hilton's Class - March 23th- Departs GSB at 8:45 and returns at 10:45.

Mrs. Verney's Class- March 28th- Departs GSB at 12:15 and returns at 2:15

Please contact your child's classroom teacher if you are interested in chaperoning.
