We will be leaving GSB at 8:30 and returning at 11:20 for lunch. Kasie Taylor, our Kieve Educator in Residence, is joining us, accompanied by Jill Davis, Cacy Herrick, and Kami Peaslee.

For this day please make sure your child has the following:
  • Waterproof boots
  • Snow pants - weather dependent - or waterproof rain pants
  • Hat and mittens/gloves
  • Warm jacket
  • Warm long sleeve sweater/fleece/flannel
  • Backpack with a snack and water bottle
  • Change of clothes (if your child tends to get wet & muddy when given the opportunity)

Once again we are excited about this opportunity to spend time with your children enjoying a fun-filled morning of outdoor activities. Parents are welcome to join, please let Jill Davis know if you’ll be able to attend. You can call at 563-3091 or email her at jdavis@aos93.org

December 4, 2017

Dear Families,

This month the theme of our K - 3 experiential learning activities is “caring.” These activities will include listening to a read-aloud of the classic children’s story, The Giving Tree, making edible ornaments for the birds, and going to the Damariscotta River Association to hang the ornaments on trees.

For the outdoor portion of this field trip, please make sure your child has the following:

  1. A warm jacket, hat, and gloves/mittens,
  2. Footwear appropriate for walking outside with warm socks

The schedule for grades 1 is as follows:

First Grade - Thursday, December 7th (8:30 - 11:15)

Volunteers are welcome. Please let Jill Davis know if you can come at jdavis@aos93.org or call 563-3091. The bus will be departing GSB at 8:30.

Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Herrick, Mrs. Peaslee, and I are excited about spending the morning with your child focusing on this important theme of “caring,” especially during the holiday season.

Sincerely,

Kim Schaff
